Swimsense has been an absolute godsend! After seven years and countless swimming lessons with other swimming centres, my autistic daughter still dreaded getting into the pool. Then we booked a Swimsense crash course, and by the end of it, she was swimming! I couldn’t believe it!
She’s since had weekly lessons with Erika, who is simply AMAZING. Not only is she a fantastic teacher, but the bond she’s built with my daughter is so special. My daughter absolutely adores her and looks forward to every lesson.
Erika has transformed swimming from something my daughter dreaded into something she genuinely loves. She’s now swimming like a mermaid, with confidence and beautiful technique!

Swimsense has had all 3 of our children and the teachers are calm, positive and supportive. We fully appreciate the time and dedication that each of the teachers gives to know the children. The support and encouragement is adjusted to each child and all seen as individuals and we feel Swimsense is more than a school it is a family.
I can wholeheartedly recommend Emma and her team. They are a great mix of friendly and encouraging. Our son has made consistent progress throughout his time with them (and always enjoyed himself).
All three of my children have learnt to swim through Swimsense over the last 12 years. The care and attention given to their individual needs and personalities, along with small class sizes, has really encouraged them to learn to swim properly. This includes our youngest child who has additional needs and had private lessons with Paul, who was just brilliant and so patient with her.
Both my children have learned to swim with Swimsense. My son, now 14, swam with them for many years. The lessons were always challenging and enjoyable so that even when it became clear that he was a good, strong swimmer, he continued to go until he achieved his 3km badge. The manager, Emma, is fantastic with any children who are struggling for whatever reason and goes the extra mile to help all the children feel comfortable and confident in the water. My daughter’s current teacher Becki is fabulous; encouraging, clear, firm, but great fun. She has helped enormously when my daughter developed a fear of the water. I couldn’t recommend Swimsense enough.
Emma and the teachers know the children very well which means they are responsive to their individual needs. They are supportive, encouraging and have some fun ideas to teach the swimming skills.
My two boys have been with Swimsense for over 6 years now and we couldn’t recommend Emma and her team highly enough. The small group sizes, great teaching and personal approach have meant they both look forward to their weekly lessons and have progressed brilliantly with their swimming over the years.

My girls have had swimming lessons with Swimsense for five years. They love all their friendly teachers they have had during this time, and my younger daughter absolutely adores her current teacher, Erika. They have progressed a huge amount – both now zooming up and down the pool for an hour! Swimsense has a good mix of helping children with their swimming technique, encouraging them to take on challenges (such as swimming for a mile), whilst also having lots of fun in the pool!
